Jalana: “Gone Filming”

The recent lack of updates to the TomJalana.com site have gone noticed by a hundreds of weekly visitors, leading to speculation that Tom Jalana may not be in the best of health. Stock shares on Wall Street plunged 35% over the past week as investors scrambled to solidify their positioning, fearing that it could be the beginning of the end for the upstart multimedia conglomerate.

However, a spokesperson for TomJalana.com said that Mr. Jalana is in perfect health, and that the company was just making preparations for the upcoming 48 Hour Film competition taking place in Chicago this weekend.

That news allowed The Street to rally in overnight trading, sending shares to an all-time high of $132.85 at the sound of the opening bell.

“This is great news,” said options trader Robert Zwit. “To hear that not only is Jalana in good health, he’s also making a movie in this decrepit economy – that just shows that the company is doing better than we all thought. This is a “buy” opportunity that comes along once in a lifetime.

Although Tom Jalana was unavailable for comment, he mentioned in a press release that his studio has multiple members of his crew, including himself, that will be Tweeting away with a behind the scenes look at what it takes to put together a movie in today’s touchy environment.

Said a TomJalana.com spokesperson, “You want the truth? We know you can’t handle the truth, but you can follow it all online.”
