Michelle and Ed Sochacki are proud to announce the birth of their 7lb., 10oz. baby girl, Sophia Rose Sochacki, born at 9:53 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Downers Grove.

The process was amazingly painless as daddy Ed said he felt little pain throughout the entire process. “You have to take these things one step at a time,” said Ed. “Birthing is a natural process that shouldn’t be forced on anyone and, were I to be quite honest, I’m experiencing more soreness from pitching five innings yesterday than I am from anything I went through today.”

Mother Michelle wanted to let everyone know that she’s doing well too.

Ed said that he is waiting for a phone call from Sophia’s agent, Drew Rosenhaus, about endorsing the new softball speed pitching training device, Bring the Heat!

Sophia has already been nicknamed “So-So” by her uncle Thad, and father Ed has already contacted famed New York photographer Mary Jane Farnsworth of Mary Jane Photography about setting up a photoshoot in the next few hours. Pictures will be used in the upcoming Adidas ad campaign, “Great is good, but So-So is better.”
