In a bizarre twist of events, Sergio Senese, webmaster for the Evergreen Park Diamondbacks and Commissioner of the Southside Wooden Bat League, exercised censorship by removing the link to www.tomjalana.com from the aforementioned websites.

The move by Senese comes as a complete surprise to Tom Jalana, founder of tomjalana.com, and could be viewed as retaliation response to the most recent article (Argentia Not Crying for Senese) covering last Sunday’s game.

“I find it amazing that in today’s digital age, we still have people that think they wield ultimate control over the news and can use their positions to intimidate and bully reporters and hide the truth from the public,” said Jalana. “If Senese would exercise some of that censorship on his own mouth during the games, we at tomjalana.com would have viewed this action by Senese as unfortunate, but understandable. But, it’s become painfully obvious that he only wants positive articles about him associated with the site.”

While no official statement has been released by Senese, and all inquires to him have gone unanswered, inside sources say that Senese is extremely upset about the video montage tribute that appeared on the tomjalana.com site earlier this week (to see the video, click here).

According to Jalana, “the video was accurate in it’s content, and all information, including the excuses, can all be attributed to Sergio Senese. The quotes have all been verified by other Diamondback players, and, were one to extrapolate his stats over the course of the season, it’s quite possible that he has a chance to strike out 50 times this year.”

Jalana encourages this reading audience to take the new poll that’s been posted on the website and would like the readers to vocalize their opinions on the removal of tomjalana.com from the team’s site to Senese by sending him an e-mail at sergiosenese@hotmail.com.

In other team news, the Diamondbacks will play the DuPage Irish in a doubleheader at St. Xavier University this Sunday, June 7th at 11am. An official e-mail was sent to the team, but oddly, pitcher Ed Sochacki was left off the list. Said Sochacki: “That’s interesting. I wonder if he’s trying to tell me something – you know, similar to when he wanted me to throw at the pitcher on the Mammoths for not joining our team. Was he serious or was he kidding? I don’t know. But it doesn’t change the fact I’m starting Game One on Sunday.”

That video montage was freaking epic! It brought a tear to my eye! Thank God someone finally had the nuts to tell it like it is. I can see why you were eradicated from the lesser of the two team websites….
