Ed Sochacki Sr. was named as Bench Coach this offseason for the Diamondbacks.

The start of the baseball season may still be months away but the Evergreen Park Diamondbacks announced Friday that Ed Sochacki Sr. will be joining the team in an official advisory role as Bench Coach.

The elder Sochacki (pictured here with sons Thad (left) and Ed (right)) will assist the team with everything from personnel decisions and well as advanced scouting.
